Have your say about proposals for a new medical centre in Dunstable


Bedfordshire PCT supports a proposal by five Dunstable GP practices to build a major new medical centre at Brewers Hill, High Street North. As the NHS organisation responsible for ensuring comprehensive, accessible and high quality healthcare across Bedfordshire, the PCT carried out a public consultation from 6 May to 29 July 2008 to find out what people in Dunstable think about the proposals. Consultation decision

Following an extensive 12 week public consultation that produced over 4,700 responses, the Board of NHS Bedfordshire has given the go-ahead to take forward proposals for a new medical centre to the next stage.

This will require the five local practices leading the scheme to put together a very detailed Full Business Case, which the Health Board will consider in early 2009. This will need to address the many issues raised during the consultation. More...
