Your GP, your choice, your say
This consultation is seeking views on the various options for enabling patients to register with the GP practice that best meets their needs, whether that is a practice near their work, or simply a different practice near their home that offers more services and longer opening hours.
Whilst the majority of patients are happy or very happy with their current GP practice, a significant majority would like to change practice. For some patients it’s important to be registered with a local GP so their GP can visit them at home, or for their care to be co-ordinated with local health professionals. Other patients have said they’d like to be able to stay registered with their current practice when they move house.
