Queens Park and west Castle (Station Quarter): A public consultation on plans for your health services
NHS Bedfordshire has been talking to local people, community groups and others in Queens Park and west Castle (Station Quarter) about their experiences when they use healthcare services. What people told us helped us to develop the proposals for this consultation and enabled us to identify a range of services people would like to see.
We are asking for your views on four options which we believe would best meet the health needs of the local population and provide the health services we have identified as a priority.
What we are proposing and consultation information
The full range of possible services have been put into four groups. A number of potential site locations where some or all of these services could be provided have also been looked at and the conclusion reached that there is one suitable site, this being the former Rolls Royce site in Ford End Road, which we own.

Please note on page 7 of the consultation document, the Characteristics appraisal of Site 1: Rolls Royce should read:
‘No restrictions to access, excellent access to Ford End Road, centre of Bedford and bus routes. The additional land available will also support the appropriate level of car parking for the facility’
The public consultation runs from Monday 6 July to Monday 28 September when patients, residents, groups and individuals will have to opportunity to have their say about the proposals.
