Smokefree Bedfordshire

The Bedfordshire NHS Stop Smoking Service offers free and confidential specialist advice and support on giving up smoking. The service offers a range of services across Bedfordshire with regular groups and individual appointments.

We offer:

  • a free and confidential service
  • advice on the best way to quit smoking
  • information on Nicotine Replacement Therapy e.g. patches and gum, and can assist you on receiving this on prescription
  • information on Zyban and Champix
  • seven week courses to help you quit
  • group support or individual appointments
  • telephone help and advise available for a year after you have stopped smoking

Seven week courses

  • 60% – 70% success rate
  • Information on Nicotine Replacement Therapy, which suits your lifestyle, Zyban and Champix
  • Quitting with other people makes a big difference
  • Measure the levels of poisonous carbon monoxide in your body on a weekly basis
  • Guidance/information from Stop Smoking Specialists e.g. tips, suggestions and encouragement

  • a telephone call from one of our Specialist Stop Smoking Advisors to help you make your plan for quitting
