Workplace Health and Wellbeing
As an NHS organisation, we believe that we should be able to lead the way in promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace. We offer advice and support to public and private businesses to promote physical and mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. This benefits the employees as they are encouraged to embrace a healthier lifestyle, not only for themselves, but also their families. Benefits to the business include a reduction in sick absence from work, greater staff engagement and productivity and reduced staff turnover.
Within NHS Bedfordshire, our working group Zest for Life aims to develop initiatives to support our ethos to be a leader in promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace. So far we have provided on site health checks, run a health survey and developed a range of information sessions aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles.
